The Story of Triple Threat

Triple Threat is a New Zealand based company that came about because of the lack of any basketball uniforms that reflected a NZ flavour.
Basketball is played by more countries in the world than any other sport and second only to football in popularity. Over the last
fifteen years New Zealand has developed an international program producing performances that have shocked and surprised some
of the top basketballing nations around the globe.
Starting in 2002 New Zealand defeated Australia in the oceania qualifiers to earn a spot at the 2002 Basketball World
Championship held every four years. The first time in New Zealand's history it had ever defeated Australia in an
international series. The team justified the result by placing forth at the World Championships, narrowly
loosing to the eventual winners Yugoslavia in the semi-finals.
Pero Cameron was named to the all tournament team, the only player at this tournament who was not in the NBA
to achieve this honour. In 2009 New Zealand defeated Australia again in the oceania qualifiers and has placed in
the top 16 in last 3 world championships. New Zealand has managed to score wins over countries such as
China, France and Russia helping New Zealand basketball become highly respected around the world.
Despite the growing popularity that basketball generates, especially in colleges and high school around
New Zealand. We are just starting to forge our own unique style and fashion. Triple Threat hopes to
add to the amazing sport and culture of New Zealand basketball by designing something stylish,
simple and comfortable that is basketball savvy, but also uniquely Aotearoa. From our
perspective as players there must always be an emphasis on comfort yet you will see
the passion follow through on apparel designs That show class and originality.
Triple Threat is more than just a basketball uniform supplier. Our designers have a range of T-shirts,
sweatshirts, and track pants all with their own sense of style. From the uniquely distinctive curve of the koru,
to the flowing ripple of the silver fern, we incorporate the best of New Zealand's culture and diversity in a wide
range of basketball apparel. Also available are coaching supplies and basketball equipment. We embrace our
